When lenders look at your credit report, they can see any previous searches that arise from your credit application. Lenders can use these searches - called "credit application searches" to make decisions about you, normally when calculating your credit score. Our check leaves what is called "a soft track" means that no one other than yourself can see the control.
The check leaves a soft footprint, so you know that the check has been carried out. Theses checks are quite common for ID checks, you also get them when you apply for applications. This check is not a search for credit applications (hard footprint check), so it does not affect your credit score.
