Aspire Gotek Pro Vape Kit: An Honest Review
Aspire are one of the best-known and most versatile brands currently on the market, offering innovative solutions to vapers' needs. They offer some of the best value for money in their kits, packing as much power into them whilst keeping prices affordable.
Although the Gotek Pro is by no means a 'budget' vape kit, at £21.99 it offers a step up into the mid-to-high range of vape kits, with some customisable features, but nothing that most vapers will struggle to understand.
In this review, we cover what the Gotek Pro is capable of, who it is designed for and other FAQs.

About The Aspire Gotek Pro
The Aspire Gotek Pro arrives alongside the Aspire Gotek X, an already formidable vape kit that, while budget, functions as strong but simple.
The Gotek Pro fills the gaps that the Gotek X left, including higher battery power, wattage output and adjustable airflow options. Visually, it resembles the Gotek X, albeit with a metallic finish and transparent pod that offer functionality while maintaining a stylish appearance.
Aspire is commonly known for its affordable, but high-quality devices, and the Gotek range is especially a poster child for their brand.
Ultimately, I would suggest the Gotek Pro for an intermediate-level vaper looking for more flexibility and user interface from their device. Features such as the adjustable airflow provide more creativity and personalisation to your device, which may take some trial-and-error to ultimately get right, depending on your personal preferences.
The Gotek Pro is fit for use with any 50/50 vape juice. I tried both LiQuid freebase and Bar Salts with the device for this review, and although I use bar salts when vaping normally, I found that both were a great fit for the device. Aspire put in the work to ensure all needs were met.
Aspire Gotek Pro First Impressions
What's In The Box?
When you buy the Gotek Pro vape kit, you should get:
- Aspire Gotek Pro Device
- 0.8ohm Gotek Pod
- User Manual
- USB-C Charging Cable
How Does It Look & Feel?
I'm a fan of the unique boxed design offered by the Gotek series, and the Gotek Pro has a much more complete and sturdy appearance compared to the Gotek X. Available in four colours, the metallic finish is a great look granted the style and build of the device.
Speaking of the box finish, I found it was more comfortable to hold compared to a pen-style or smaller pod kit. This is down to personal preference, but I appreciate being able to hold my device by the palm of my hand, rather than in my fingers.
I can appreciate that Aspire implemented a transparent pod that remains visible when inserted into the device. This means that I consistently knew how much e-liquid I was working with, when to refill my pod, and ultimately, I never got a dry or burnt hit as I knew when a refill was due.
The LED indicator on the side of the device is another beneficial addition to the device in communicating with the user. Above 60% battery, the LED flashes green, 60-30% will flash blue and below 30% flashes red. This was helpful in ensuring that I knew when to charge, even with the large battery.
I feel that overall, the price is justified, granted the build and handy features implemented.
Is It Easy To Use?
Although a step up from the Gotek X, I'd still suggest that the Gotek Pro isn't a difficult device to pick up and use. Aside from the adjustable airflow, most of the device's features speak for themself.
The airflow is the only manually adjustable feature, which can be found just next to the charging port on the base of the device. Otherwise, the device is completely self-explanatory and done by the device. It is buttonless, including inhale-activation and automatic wattage adjustment.
Device setup is as easy as inserting the pod into the device. It will automatically adjust to match the ohm resistance of the coil, with no need to adjust any wattage yourself.
Equipped with the ASP chipset, the Gotek Pro will deliver powerful flavour, especially with nic salts, and is the powerhouse that ensures ohm resistance is met with applicable wattage.
The Gotek Pro is a strongly-performing device which can be picked up by most vapers with relative ease. The adjustable wattage is the only feature that can be considered a step-up in difficulty, and once configured, doesn't need adjusting further.

Setting Up: How To Use Gotek Vape Pods
Gotek pods are applicable with the whole Gotek range, including the Aspire Gotek Pro. This means that if you're a Gotek X user looking for an upgrade, you can use any Gotek pods that you've already bought in your Gotek Pro device.
Gotek pods have mesh coils built-in, which makes them super simple to use and maintain.
To get started with the Gotek Pro, you'll need to set up a fresh Gotek pod according to the following steps:
- Remove the pod from your Gotek Pro battery (if pre-installed), or pop it out of its foil blister pack.
- Ensure to remove the sticker on the bottom of the pod, clearly marked "PEEL OFF".
- Carefully pull the back the orange tab on the pod, opening up the filling port.
- Angle the pod so the filling port is the highest point.
- Pop the top of your e-liquid bottle into the filling port.
- Gently squeeze the bottle to fill the Gotek pod, taking care not to overfill.
- Recover the orange tab, ensuring it is sealed.
- Put the pod back into your battery, allow it to absorb for a minute or two, once absorbed, you're ready to vape!

Using The Aspire Gotek Pro Vape Kit
The Best E-Liquids To Use With The Gotek Pro
The Gotek Pro is designed for use with 50-50 style e-liquids, including both traditional freebase and nicotine salt varieties. If you use High-VG e-liquids, I'd suggest using a vape kit more tailored to sub-ohm vaping, as while this device can handle sub-ohm, it's not capable of handling HVG.
Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with:
- 0.8ohm Gotek pods (RDTL style airflow, balanced temperature)
50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with:
- 0.6ohm Gotek pods (looser airflow, warmer vape, more intense flavour)
- 0.8ohm Gotek Pods (less intense, but still very well-tailored to nic salts)
I found that the Gotek Pro is ideal for both freebase and nic salt e-liquid. The 0.8ohm pod that arrives with the device works a treat with both.
When using LiQuid's own Kiwi Passion Guava Ice Bar Salt e-liquid, I found it worked great with the 0.8ohm pod provided with the device for a great MTL-style finish. There are 0.6ohm pods available, though LiQuid doesn't supply them - personally, I found 0.8ohm worked great with both, regardless!
Navigating The Gotek Pro's Menu
The Gotek Pro doesn't have a menu, or any screens at all for that matter. Everything, bar airflow, is automatically adjusted by the device already, meaning there's no need for a device menu.
Battery level is communicated through an LED on the side of the device, meaning it is always accessible to check at any time without the need for any buttons or navigation.
Some vapers will find this is a benefit as the device is less fiddly, though if you would prefer a menu interface with your vape kit, there are many other vape devices available that feature this.
Gotek Pro Battery Life & Charging
The Gotek Pro has a solid battery life at 1,500mAh. Though there are devices with a higher battery available, for the price and what the device does, 1,500mAh is a great standard, and will easily last over a day for most vapers.
Compared to the Gotek X's 650mAh, this is a huge improvement, and a necessary one to fit the extra features implemented into the device.
The battery should charge fully within an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. Granted the battery size, this isn't too bad a charge time, and should last a full day, meaning one charge will be enough for most users.
While there are certainly devices with faster charging or bigger batteries, the equipped 1,500mAh battery works well with the device's specifications and for daily use.
Should You Buy The Gotek Pro Vape Kit By Aspire?
The Gotek Pro is absolutely worth buying for any vapers looking for an upgraded device, without the extra input required by higher-cost devices featuring many manually adjustable features and interfaces. The adjustable airflow is an added benefit to the device, and although it may be intimidating to new vapers, it doesn't need adjusting once it's at the right setting.
For users of freebase or nic salts, the Gotek Pro is a great kit that provides efficiency, flavour and strong battery life. At £21.99, the Gotek Pro covers all bases of what you'd want and expect from a vape kit at this price. A strongly performing vape kit that is accessible to intermediate vapers, or in a pinch, to beginners willing to experiment with airflow.
