In this review, I'll discuss the new Xros 5 Nano by Vaporesso. This covers the device tech, ease of use, as well as what e-liquids and pods to use with it.
This review covers my experience with this device, offering my perspective from first-time use up until now, where I've had some time to play with the features and test the device to its limits.

About The Vaporesso Xros 5 Nano: The Compact Powerhouse
Across all of Vaporesso's pod vape kits, there hasn't been such a spike in popularity since the release of the Xros series.
The Xros 5 Nano enters the lineup, accompanied by the recent the Xros 5 Mini, and original Xros 5, both established and reputable kits on the market.
A main standout with the Xros series, including the 5 Nano is the COREX tech featured in all kits across the range. This new tech implemented into Xros pods emphasises the flavour of your e-liquid, making nic salts an absolute must-try with this device.
At 1,600 mAh, the battery is formidable, especially for a device of its size.
Speaking of size, compared to the Xros 5, this is where the Nano is quite different. A unique box design allows it to fit nearly anywhere when carried, makes it easily transferable, and allows for a more user-friendly menu interface.

How Does It Look & Feel?
In a word, the Xros 5 Nano looks unique.
There's a rarity of square-shaped vape kits, and while it is unusual for most kits, it plays to the advantage of the Xros 5.
With an 1.09" touch screen, the square shape allows as much space as possible for one of the best touch screen interfaces available.
The screen is a huge selling point, allowing you to easily switch through different power settings, picture modes and other menu functions to manage the device.
In terms of feeling, the square shape is comfortable to carry and use. This may be subject to the user, but to me, I found it to be more than comfortable throughout my use.
If you're after a non-conventional but reliable and powerful vape kit, the Xros 5 Nano is a good switch up from the norm.
Is It Easy To Use?
Due to the afformentioned touch screen, the Xros 5 finds a way to communicate advanced vape tech with an easily understandable interface.
While in the past it's easy to forget how to change power modes, the touch screen makes it much more accessible, almost like using a mobile device of sorts. I found this to be very beneficial for newer vapers in particular.
Power settings are communicated rather easily through simple NOR for a normal, standardised Xros experience, PWR for a more strong and intense flavour hit or ECO to preserve battery - all beneficial depending on your situation.
As far as vape kits go, especially kits such as the Xros Nano with such impressive features, it's rare to see a device balance simplicity with an array of functionality. In my opinion, the Xros 5 Nano finds a way to do both.
Setting Up: How To Use Xros Vape Pods
The Xros 5 Nano will arrive with two pods, one installed, and one seperate in the box. These cartridges will be 0.8 ohms and 0.6ohms respectively. They are equipped with Vaporesso's signature COREX tech.
In short, COREX mesh can:
- Heat up faster and maintain a more consistent temperature.
- Enhance flavour for a richer, cleaner vape.
- Increase vapour production for MTL and RDTL vaping styles.
- Improve absorption with fluffier cumulus cotton wicks.
- Extend coil lifespan by up to 50%.
- Deliver a smoother draw thanks to more even heating.
These features are much more than just a gimmick; they are a major reason the device performs so well.
To get started with the Xros 5 Nano, you'll need to set up a fresh Xros pod according to the following steps:
- Remove the pod from your Xros 5 Nano battery if already attached. Check for a protective sticker and peel it off if attached.
- Remove the mouthpiece, revealing a top-fill port.
- Pop the top of your e-liquid bottle into the filling valve.
- Gently squeeze the bottle to fill the Xros pod, taking care not to overfill.
- Put the mouthpiece back in place to cover the valve.
- Put the pod back into your battery, allow it to absorb for a minute or two. Once finished, it's ready for use.

The Best E-Liquids To Use With The Xros 5 Nano
The Xros 5 Nano works great with all kinds of e-liquids, though it ultimately depends what pod you pair it with:
Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with:
- 1.0ohm Xros Pod
- 1.2ohm Xros Pod
50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with:
- 0.6ohm Xros Pod
- 0.8ohm Xros pod
High-VG e-liquid only works with:
- 0.4ohm Xros Pod
The immediate standout for this device, as is the case with many Xros kits, granted the COREX tech, is nic salts.
Dedicated tech handles any Bar Salt e-liquid to a gold standard, far above many other vape kits currently on the market.
Using the Xros 5 Nano is reminiscent of the disposable vape experience, which though is now banned, is easily emulated through this tech.
Navigating The Xros 5 Nano's Menu & Modes
Managing modes has never been easier than the Xros 5 Nano. With the convenient touch screen, you can swipe through different power settings and modes, almost like using a mobile device.
ECO mode is ideal for battery preservation, toning down the flavour hit for a long-lasting battery life - especially granted the already large 1,600mAh capacity.
PWR mode is where this device shines. If you're paying a higher price point, this is where the difference is made. COREX tech shines by delivering some of the best flavour tech I've experienced yet. During my use with LiQuid's own Pink Lemonade nic salts, I immediately noticed the difference with power mode.
NOR mode was the mode I used most. It's a great midway line between flavour strength and power preservation. I feel this will be the same for most vapers, using it for everyday use. Normal lasts the whole day and provides a strong level of flavour enjoyment.
Xros 5 Nano Battery Life & Charging
Upgrading the already much above average Xros 5 battery, the Xros 5 Nano has a formiddable 1,600mAh battery.
This enables it to support all-day vaping on all modes, though PWR mode may be at a push.
It features the same USB-C fast charging as the Xros 5, allowing you to charge the device to full in under 30 minutes. This is ideal if, like myself, you forget to charge and find yourself in a hurry.
Even despite this, the ECO mode will surely make your device last you a good amount of time, if you're truly worried about battery life.
Overall, the battery life is much above average as far as vape kits go.
Should You Buy The Xros 5 Nano Vape Kit By Vaporesso?
A resounding yes from me. While the original Xros 5 is very similar to this Nano, the handy menu features and slightly larger battery make it arguably an upgrade.
It's accessible for beginner or advanced vapers, making it a great purchase all around as either an upgrade or strong and reliable starter kit. The range of power modes make it ideal for any scenario, with a quick and easy interface to switch.
All in all, from every angle, it's hard to find any areas where the Nano doesn't perform. For general all-day vaping, it works as a strongly reliable kit that takes the complicated settings and interface away from otherwise
