The OPEL does not come with its own charging cable; however, it is compatible with any USB-C cable. For safety, we recommend charging the device using a smart plug, or a device USB port (like a laptop) to ensure the power delivered during charging is regulated.

The airflow slider on the side of the device feels solid, with no rattles and a smooth action, while the USB-C charge port is nicely rounded with no sharp edges.
This finish makes the OPEL device look & feel premium despite its budget price, and it sits nicely in your hand with ergonomic sculpting adding to the premium finish.
The LED breathing light phases through colours based on remaining battery charge, and provides feedback while in-use. It sits nice and flush with the aluminium body adding to the OPEL's sleek silhouette.
The device is lightweight, but stood up to plenty of knocks and drops during our testing. Despite being put through its paces, the OPEL device was surprisingly scratch-resistant and there was no chipping or flaking from the logo either thanks to it being polished into the metal itself instead of cheaply sprayed on.

Setting Up: How To Use OPEL Vape Pods
The OPEL device extends its beginner-friendly style to its pods, with only one option available - a versatile 0.8ohm mesh.
Suitable for both freebase (normal) and nic salt 50-50 style e-liquids, the OPEL's pods performed really well during testing, delivering amazing flavour and an impressive lifespan.
If you are familiar with Vaporesso's Xros pods, then refilling an OPEL pod will be easy as they use the same top-fill design.
Set up your OPEL pod using the following steps:
- Remove the OPEL pod from its blister pack and check the contact points are clear.
- Push the top mouthpiece forwards or backwards to unclip it from the pod housing, exposing the filling port.
- Carefully insert your e-liquid bottle's nib into the filling port, and squeeze to fill - take care to use the off-set opening to fill, not the central airflow channel as this will damage the pod.
- Take care not to overfill the pod, leaving a few mm of space, and clip the mouthpiece back onto the pod housing.
- Allow a few minutes for the e-liquid to properly absorb into the coil wick, and insert the pod into the OPEL battery.
- You are now ready to vape with the OPEL device!

The Best E-Liquids To Use With The OPEL Vape Kit
The OPEL vape device is designed for use with 50-50 style e-liquids, including both freebase and nicotine salt varieties.
High-VG vapers will struggle to get the most from this kit and should look for something more tailored to sub-ohm vaping.
- Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with the airflow slightly closed off to create a tighter MTL style draw. The flavour boost the OPEL battery delivers 0.2 seconds into each puff really uplifted the milder flavour profiles of freebase vape juices during testing and made for a brilliant experience.
- 50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with the airflow fully open, creating a bolder RDTL-style draw, similar to the experience offered by a disposable vape. This works brilliantly with the double-concentrated flavour profiles typical of nic salt vape juice.
In my experience testing this device, I found that above all else, the OPEL is best when paired with nic salt e-liquids.
The double-concentrated flavours used in recipes like our Bar Salt range really pop thanks to the mesh coil design in each pod. The 0.8ohm coil delivers a really smooth and bold flavour hit.
If you are looking for an amazing alternative to the disposable vaping experience, the OPEL is ideal, as it not only replicates the flavour delivery but also simplicity of a single-use vape.

As we've already mentioned, the OPEL device keeps things really simple. As a result, there are not settings, menus or features for you to manually play around with and understand.
