OXVA Xlim Go 2: An Honest Vape Kit Review
Following the success of the original Xlim Go, Oxva have released the Xlim Go 2, which benefits from a similar interface and enhanced features. Oxva are no stranger to the vaping world, bringing affordable but reliable devices to the mainstream market.
Although I can vouch for Oxva's reliability across their other vape kits, being a long-term user of the Xlim Go, I put the Xlim Go 2 to the test. As well as discussing the pros and cons of the device, in this blog I'll explain my own experience, who I think it's suited for and ultimately guide you to decide if the device suits you.
About OXVA & The Xlim Go 2
Despite a later launch than most brands in 2019, Oxva is one of the largest and most successful in the vaping industry to date. The Xlim range hugely established them, meaning the launch of the Xlim Go 2 was a huge milestone.
The Xlim Go was one of Oxva's strongest budget options for a vape kit, prioritising a simple but efficient kit at a lower price range, ideal for beginners. Similarly, while the Xlim Go 2 can be considered a "budget" kit, there's no compromise to its many features and upgrades.

How Does It Look & Feel?
Sporting a look and feel nearly identical to the original Xlim Go, the Xlim Go 2 stlll has many subtleties that can fly under the radar at first.
The most notable difference is the new LED battery display, communicating your battery level over 3 colours. There's also a starlight decor around the battery display, new to the Xlim Go 2.
If you've used the Xlim Go before, the device feels nearly the exact same to hold. Lightweight, sleek and comfortable for all-day vaping.
Automatic-draw allows buttonless function, making it a great device for beginner vapers, and overall very efficient to use without any faff.
Is It Easy To Use?
Despite the tech packed into it, the Oxva Xlim Go 2 is well-suited for beginners, or any vapers looking for a budget kit with strong automated features. All features are set by the device, bar airflow, which can be adjusted quite simply with the slider on the side of the device.
This means that your device is essentially ready to go once the pod is inserted and filled. No need to adjust any settings or features.
While the performance and overall standards for this device would fit most vapers, if you are looking for an intermediate to advanced kit with more features, it's worth noting that there's not much to navigate. The Oxva Xlim Pro may be better suited in this sense.
Setting Up: How To Use Xlim Vape Pods
The Oxva Xlim Go 2 comes with an 0.8ohm coil, which is the most flexible option for both freebase and nic salt e-liquids.
Setup is very simple. Simply click the 0.8ohm pod that arrives with the device, (or your choice of Xlim pod,) into the battery, then fill it with e-liquid.
Xlim pods have new Unitech 2.0 features, allowing for better flavour, more efficient heating and longer use time.
The new Unitech enables the Xlim Go 2 to:
- Emphasise flavours in your e-liquids
- Utilise your e-liquids more efficiently
- Extend coil lifespan
- Vape worry-free due to 5-layer leak-proof coverage
- Perform with both freebase and nic salt e-liquid
To get started with the Xlim Go 2, you'll need to set up a fresh Xlim pod and follow the below steps:
- Remove the pod from your Xlim Go 2 battery (if pre-installed) and remove any protective film from the contact points.
- Locate the fill-port on the side of the port and open it outwards.
- Insert your e-liquid bottle tip into the fill-valve
- Gently squeeze the e-liquid to fill the Xlim pod, making sure to not overfill and to seal the port after finishing.
- Put the pod back into your battery, allowing it to absorb for a few minutes, after this, your device is ready for use!

Using The OXVA Xlim Go 2 Vape Kit
The Best E-Liquids To Use With The Xlim Go 2
The Xlim Go 2 is a flexible kit, allowing you to use both freebase and nic salt e-liquid provided you have the correct coil. The 0.8ohm coil that arrives with the battery works with both freebase and nic salts.
Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with:
- 0.8ohm Xlim Pod
- 1.2ohm Xlim Pod
50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with:
- 0.4ohm Xlim pod
- 0.6ohm Xlim Pod
- 0.8ohm Xlim pod
High-VG e-liquid is not compatible with the Xlim Go 2.
I started with the 0.8ohm pod included with the device, using LiQuid Lychee Ice nic salts. I found that the 0.8ohm pod was a great medium between flavour and throat-hit, offering the middle ground of both.
Moving into the lower ranges of 0.6ohms, the device is more than capable of enhancing flavour due to the Unitech 2.0 upgrade. For prior users of disposable vapes, I'd certainly recommend the lower ranges of 0.6-0.4ohms.
Navigating The Xlim Go 2's Features
The Xlim Go 2 has automatic wattage features and no screen or interface, meaning the only manually customisable or adjustable feature is the airflow. Otherwise, the device will automatically adjust wattage based on the pod inserted.
There are no menu functions.
Xlim Go 2 Battery Life & Charging
The Xlim Go 2 has a battery capacity of 1,500mAh. This should last you a full day even with moderate-to-high usage, and longer if used sparingly. This is a huge jump from the 1,000mAh battery included with the Xlim Go and is overall a great standard, especially at the price.
Within 30 minutes the battery already charges to 80%, as indicated by the LED display. 2A fast charging ensures consistently fast charge, whether to full, or if you're on the go and quickly need to charge as you're moving.
I found full charge usually lasted me a day and a half, sometimes two if I vaped sparingly. Even when on low battery, the Xlim Go 2 managed to retain strong levels of flavour, where many other devices start to dwindle in performance.
The battery indicator displays as follows accoording to the battery level:
- Red light - 0%-20%
- Blue light - 20%-60%
- Green light - 60%-100%
Should You Buy The Xlim Go 2 Vape Kit By OXVA?
For £11.99, the Oxva Xlim Go 2 is a great budget vape kit, that best suits beginner vapers, or any vapers looking for a simple, cheap and good for value kit.
All around, the device parts and features work to a high standard, meaning that like other Oxva kits, you'll be getting your money's worth.
When compared to the original Oxva Xlim Go device, the Xlim Go 2 is a clear upgrade, whilst retaining many of the features that made the Xlim Go such a standout device amongst vapers.
Other more advanced kits will ultimately offer more features than the Xlim Go 2, but at the price mark of £11.99 and being designed with simplicity in mind, you'd be looking at the best value for money with this kit.
