OXVA Xlim Go: An Honest Vape Kit Review
OXVA are one of the newer brands on the block (relatively speaking) when it comes to vape hardware. Despite not having as long a legacy as the likes of Vaporesso or Aspire, OXVA have carved out a name for themselves. The brand gained fast fame for its compact, high-performance pod vape kits, known for delivering excellent flavour without breaking the bank.
The subject of this review, the OXVA Xlim Go, is a prime example of this simple yet effective vape kit formula. In this blog, we aim to guide you through its features, pros and cons, and our first impressions when using this portable pod vape.
From its effortless beginner-friendly design and powerful 1000mAh battery, to flavour-bosting mesh coils - read on to explore what the Xlim Go has to offer for only £10.99.

About The OXVA Xlim Go
The Xlim Go is one of the latest, but also one of the simplest additions to the hugely popular Xlim pod vape series.
OXVA gained a stellar reputation for this range, with fans citing superior flavour delivery, leak-resistant design, durability and reliability as stand-out features.
The Xlim Go is a stripped-back counterpart to the more advanced Xlim Pro. It combines the passive performance-boosting tech of the Pro, with an entry-level user experience that makes it an amazing place to start your vaping journey.
If you are a vaper that prefers more customisable features, then the Pro may be a better option than the Go, but even experienced vapers should be satisfied by the Go's performance.
This is especially true if you have a busy lifestyle, travel often, and value compact portability. Weighing in at only 42 grams, and at just over 11cm long, the Xlim Go is super pocket-friendly.
It's a great partner for all kinds of 50-50 e-liquids, but performs especially well with nic salts, thanks to the mesh coil design of compatible Xlim pods. This makes it a versatile option regardless of your nicotine and flavour preferences.
OXVA Xlim Go First Impressions
What's In The Box?
When you buy the Xlim Go vape kit, you should get:
- OXVA Xlim Go 100mAh Device
- 0.8ohm Xlim Top-Fill Pod
- User Manual
Please Note:
The Xlim Go does not come with its own charging cable; however, it is compatible with any USB-C cables. For safety, we recommend charging the device using a smart plug, or a device USB port (like a laptop) to ensure the power delivered is regulated.
How Does It Look & Feel?
The Xlim Go might be an entry-level vape kit, but OXVA have done a great job of making this little kit feel premium.
The vibrant colours are a nice touch, with plenty of options available from toned-down black and greys to bright pink or green.
OXVA have chosen a slightly unsettling name for their unique approach to the leather-effect material that wraps the device battery - "skin pasting". Despite the name not being our cup of tea, in function, the textured surface allows for a comfortable and secure grip, while also adding a premium feel.
The rounded edges make it a comfortable fit in your hand, and the airflow control is well-built, with no rattles or play in the slider. The charging port is also well-seated on the side of the device and feels very solid and secure.
The trademark 'X' logo on the front of the device acts as the battery indicator, changing colours according to the current charge level.
Overall, the Xlim go looks and feels great. Considering how cheap it is at only £10.99, OXVA have spared no expense in making this kit feel like it should cost a lot more.
Is It Easy To Use?
The Xlim Go is easy to use by design. There are no bells and whistles, just simple plug-and-play usability. This approach is why it features as one of the best vape kits for convenience in our 2025 top picks.
The only manually adjustable feature is the airflow, which is controlled by a smooth slider on the side of the device. Everything else about the Xlim Go is designed to do the hard work for you, including inhale-activation and automatic wattage adjustment.
Simply pop in your chosen Xlim pod, and the smart chipset inside the device adjusts the power automatically to match the ohm resistance of the coil.
This same chipset also works to deliver consistent flavour, even as the battery depletes. In addition, the chip provides protection against short-circuits and overcharging.
In all, the Xlim Go has plenty of passive features that deliver performance that will satisfy experienced vapers, but in a simple package that appeals to beginners. No matter your experience level, the Xlim Go is super easy to use and versatile enough to satisfy most vaping preferences.

Setting Up: How To Use Xlim Vape Pods
The Xlim Go is compatible with the full range of Xlim pods, which gives you plenty of options to choose from. This includes the latest Xlim V3 top-fill pods, as well as the slightly older V2 Xlim pods.
Either option will serve you well, but the V3 pods have the added beneft of OXVA's UniTech 2.0 technology, which promises improved leak resistance and condensation prevention.
All Xlim pods have mesh coils built-in, which makes them super simple to use and maintain.
To get started with the Xlim Go, you'll need to set up a fresh Xlim pod according to the following steps:
- Remove the pod from your Go battery (if pre-installed), or pop it out of its foil blister pack.
- Carefully pull the silicone tab on the side of the pod, exposing the filling port (V3). If using V2 pods, the bung is located towards the base.
- Angle the pod so the filling port is the highest point.
- Pop the top of your e-liquid bottle into the filling port.
- Gently squeeze the bottle to fill the Xlim pod, taking care not to overfill.
- Put the silicone bung back in place to cover the port.
- Put the pod back into your battery, allow it to absorb for a minute or two, and away you go.

The Oxva Xlim Cartridges offer a hassle-free top-fill design for easy, mess-free refills, with pre-installed coils to eliminate the need for coil changes. Available in four different ohm resistances, these pods deliver maximum flavour and allow you to choose between MTL or RDTL vaping styles, all while producing discreet vapour.
Using The OXVA Xlim Go Vape Kit
The Best E-Liquids To Use With The Xlim Go
The Xlim Go is primarily designed for use with 50-50 style e-liquids, including both traditional freebase and nicotine salt varieties. High-VG vapers will struggle to get the most from this kit and should look for something more tailored to sub-ohm vaping.
Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with:
- 1.2ohm Xlim pods (tighter MTL style airflow, cooler vapour)
- 0.8ohm Xlim pods (RDTL style airflow, balanced temperature)
50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with:
- 0.6ohm Xlim pods (looser airflow, warmer vape, more intense flavour)
- 0.4ohm Xlim pods (very open airflow, more vapour, boldest flavour)
In my experience testing this device, I found that above all else, the Xlim Go is amazing when paired with nic salt e-liquids.
The double-concentrated flavours used in recipes like our Bar Salt range really pop thanks to the mesh coil design in each pod. The difference between the 0.6 and 0.8ohm variants was minimal in my experience, but the 0.4 delivers a really smooth and bold flavour hit, albeit with slightly warmer vapour than some may prefer.
If you are looking for an amazing alternative to the disposable vaping experience, the Xlim Pro is ideal, as it not only replicates the flavour delivery but also simplicity of a single-use vape.
Navigating The Xlim Go's Menu
There's really not much to say here becuase the Xlim Go doesn't have any menus!
This kit is designed to be effortlessly simple, and so has no buttons, screens or any other bells or whistles.
The power output sets itself according to the pod you choose to use, leaving the airflow as the only aspect you can manually control.
Xlim Go Battery Life & Charging
The Xlim Go doesn't have the biggest battery when compared to similar competitors like the Xros 5 Mini or XLFX Pro Mini.
With that said, the 1000mAh high-density battery can support extended vaping sessions, with all but the most intense habits being supported for a full day on one charge.
The battery doesn't take long to recharge either, thanks to 1A fast-charging tech. Again, this falls a little short of the aforementioned competitors, which have 2A fast charging as standard.
Battery size and charge speed are the only real drawbacks of this device. With that said, they certainly aren't bad and will serve most vapers perfectly well.
Should You Buy The Xlim Go Vape Kit By OXVA?
If you are a new vaper - definitely. You will struggle to find an entry-level vape kit that performs better for less than £10.99. Most other competing kits in its class cost more, and often feel less premium than the Xlim Go.
If you are a more experienced vaper - you should consider your needs before buying the Xlim Go. It could serve well as a handy backup kit or something portable for active days, but its lack of customisable features might limit your satisfaction.
The only cons of the Xlim Go are battery size and charge time. While they certainly could be worse, they fall a little short of similar kits in the same class. This is more than made up for by its affordable price point, however, not to mention the dependably consistent performance delivered by the smart chipset and mesh coils.
