Vaping On A Budget After The UK Vape Duty

Top Budget E-Liquid Collections

Below are our best value e-liquid collections, which will remain among the cheapest in the UK even after the upcoming vape duty is added.

Important things to remember about the vape duty:

  • It will be charged at a flat rate of 22p per ml of e-liquid, regardless of nicotine content.
  • It only affects vape liquid refill bottles and pre-filled pods - vape batteries and refillable pods are exempt.
  • The post-tax price of e-liquids will include the base price, duty costs and VAT charged for the duty.

The Cheapest Freebase 50/50 E-Liquid After The UK Vape Tax

The cheapest freebase e-liquid after the vape tax is our Original £1 range.

With over 90 premium-quality flavours to choose from, and boasting some of the best quality and safety assurances of any vaping brand in the UK, our customers have enjoyed incredible value for money from this range for over 10 years.

How Much Will They Cost After The Tax?

After the new vape duty is enforced, it will sadly become impossible for us to offer this range for only £1.

Under the new duty scheme, our classic freebase e-liquids will cost £3.64.

Why Is This Range Still Cheap After The Vape Tax?

The reason this collection will remain one of the cheapest options after the vape duty is because of our budget-friendly base price of £1.

The majority of well-known UK e-liquid brands charge circa £4 for their 50/50 freebase products.

This means, after the new taxes are added, some competitors will charge around £6.64 for 10ml bottles, while ours will only be £3.64 - costing you almost half as much without compromising on quality.

The Cheapest Nic Salt E-Liquid After The UK Vape Tax

The cheapest nic salt e-liquid you are likely to find after the vape tax is our £2 Bar Salts range.

During the rise and fall of disposable vapes, UK vapers fell in love with nic salt e-liquids that have bold, double-concentrated flavours and smooth nicotine delivery even at the highest strengths.

In light of the disposable vape ban, many brands, including ourselves, launched 10ml bottles of this type of e-liquid to give people the freedom to keep enjoying it in refillable vape kits.

Our Bar Salts collection offers over 60 best-selling nic salt flavours in a range of strengths, and is our 2nd most popular range after our original freebase collection.

How Much Will They Cost After The Tax?

Much like our freebase range, once the vape duty is enforced, we will no longer be able to sell our Bar Salts for £2.

With the new duties added, each 10ml bottle of nic salt e-liquid will cost £4.64.

Why Is This Range Still Cheap After The Vape Tax?

Our base price of only £2 is the reason our nic salts will remain cheaper than most competitors in the UK, even after the vape tax.

Many competing brands already charge £3.50 to £4.50 for their 10ml nic salts.

That means, after the vape duty hits, other brands will charge around £6.14 for 10ml of nic salt e-liquid, whereas our Bar Salts will cost £4.64 - saving you almost £2 per bottle purchased without sacrificing quality or safety.

The Cheapest High-VG E-Liquid After The UK Vape Tax

The cheapest High-VG e-liquid you are likely to find after the vape tax is our classic 10ml HVG collection.

Priced at only £1 per bottle, and with plenty of flavours to choose from, sub-ohm vapers have enjoyed our great value 70/30 range for over 10 years.

How Much Will They Cost After The Tax?

Just as with all our ranges, we can no longer sell HVG vape juice for £1 after the new duty is enforced.

With the new duties added, each 10ml bottle of HVG e-liquid will cost £3.64.

Why Is This Range Still Cheap After The Vape Tax?

The obvious theme of this blog continues here, in that the £1 base price of our HVG vape juice is the reason it will remain the cheapest even after the new tax.

The average price of a 10ml HVG e-liquid from competing brands is around £3.

With the duties added for 2026, competitor prices for 10ml HVGs will be around £4.64, compared to ours which will cost £3.64 - saving you at least £1 per bottle.

What About Shortfills?

Shortfill e-liquids are currently one of the best value options for High-VG vapers, giving them 100ml in a single bottle, plus nic shots to create custom strengths, for typically less than the equivalent cost/volume in 10ml bottles.

The vape duty will hit shortfills harder than any other e-liquid format, however. Due to their large volume, the duty rate means they will cost around £36.40, and that does not include the duty owed for potentially two nic shots, which could take the total cost to over £40.

This not only means shortfills are likely to become uneconomical for most vapers to use, but means our 10ml HVG range will become the best value option for sub-ohm vapers after the tax.

Best Value Vape Kits

Another way you can keep vape costs down is by choosing a good value vape kit to use the affordable e-liquid options we've highlighted above.

While the new vape duty won't impact vape batteries and refillabe pods, there are options available that perform brilliantly but cost a lot less than some others on the market.

Kits like the Argus Z2, ELFX Mini, and Xlim Go are all amazing little kits that offer advanced performance in entry-level packages, and they all cost less than £12.

Multipacks & Subscriptions

Finally, to make sure you are getting the cheapest vape deals after the tax, stick to brands, like LiQuid, who offer subscriptions, loyalty points and bundles.

Subscriptions can help you reduce long-term costs by unlocking lower costs per bottle.

Loyalty points will build over time and can help cover larger costs like new vape kits or replacement pods, or even a bulk e-liquid order.

Bundles and multipacks often have savings built into their pricing and can help you lower the base price of the e-liquids so you pay less overall despite the duty.

Summing Up

Stock Up To Get Ahead Of Price Increases

While the increase to e-liquid prices seems inevtiable at this point, there are ways you can minimise the impact to your budget, at least initially.

Get ahead of the price hike by stocking up tactically before the tax comes into effect from 1st October 2026. Doing this will at least give you a little longer before you have to adjust your vaping budget to accommodate the new, higher cost of e-liquids.
