The two pods that come in the box are also Vaporesso's very latest COREX 3.0 design. They deliver even better flavour than the original COREX Xros pods, which had set the standard for pod vaping performance in 2024/25.
How Does It Look & Feel?
Everything about the Xros Pro 2 vape kit screams premium. It has a sleek and modern design, seamlessly integrated TFT screen, and a clean and simple one-button interface.
The aerospace-grade alloy housing is durable and super-lightweight, which is impressive considering the size of the Xros Pro 2's 2000mAh battery.
The battery housing is finished in a selection of matte and/or glittering colourways that are resistant to fingerprints and scratches, proving durable despite extensive testing.
With rounded edges and a slim profile, the Xros Pro 2 feels comfortable and well-balanced in your hand. The build is solid with no cheap-feeling rattles or plastic components, and the single, tactile fire button has a satisfying click when pressed.
One of the best aspects of the Xros Pro 2's design is the TFT screen's "hidden" aesthetic. When not in use, the device appears to have no screen at all, but when activated, the display appears within the alloy itself, which is a very cool design queue in our opinion!
Is It Easy To Use?
Despite being an advanced pod vape kit with lots of customisable features, the Xros Pro 2 maintains near-entry-level accessibility and ease of use.
It achieves this by sticking to a 1-button interface, which can be clicked differing numbers of times to quickly cycle through menus and settings.
Of course, with so many customisable features, the Xros Pro 2 is ideal for vapers with a little more experience. After significant testing, however, we are confident that even beginner vapers will be able to get their heads around the Pro 2's menus and settings with relative ease.
Even if you aren't confident with customising settings, the Xros Pro 2 automatically adjusts the power output according to your chosen pod resistance when using the SMART power mode, allowing you to use it without advanced knowledge.
Setting Up: How To Use Xros Vape Pods
Right out of the box, you will receive a 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm refillable COREX 3.0 Xros vape pods.
All Xros vape pods have built-in coils and feature Vaporesso's iconic patented COREX Mesh Technology, but the two you receive with the Xros Pro 2 kit are the very latest version of COREX tech, featuring an updated "hive" mesh design.
Vaporesso have stated that all Xros pods produced going forward will have this updated design, so you can rest assured that buying replacements from our store won't mean you receive an outdated product.
In a nutshell, COREX mesh can:
- Heat up faster and maintain a more consistent temperature.
- Enhance flavour for a richer, cleaner vape.
- Increase vapour production for MTL and RDTL vaping styles.
- Improve absorption with fluffier cumulus cotton wicks.
- Extend coil lifespan by up to 50%.
- Deliver a smoother draw thanks to more even heating.
COREX Vs COREX 3.0
We didn't think the performance of the previous version of COREX Mesh could be beaten, but after our trials with the Pro 2, the COREX 3.0 system does seem to deliver better flavour, and a longer lifespan - not by a huge margin, but noticeable enough to make this new design feel like a genuine upgrade.
To get started with the Xros Pro 2, you'll need to set up a fresh Xros pod according to the following steps:
- Remove the pod from your Xros Pro 2 battery (if pre-installed) and remove any protective film from the contact points.
- Carefully pull/push the mouthpiece to one side to unclip it from the top of the pod, exposing the filling valve.
- Pop the top of your e-liquid bottle into the filling valve.
- Gently squeeze the bottle to fill the Xros pod, taking care not to overfill.
- Put the mouthpiece back in place to cover the valve.
- Put the pod back into your battery, allow it to absorb for a minute or two, and away you go.

The Best E-Liquids To Use With The Xros Pro 2
The Xros Pro 2 vape kit has the potential to support almost any e-liquid type you might fancy. This makes it an extremely versatile device, but it all depends on the Xros pod option you use.
Freebase 50/50 e-liquid works best with:
- 1.0ohm Xros Pod
- 1.2ohm Xros Pod
50/50 nic salt e-liquid works best with:
- 0.4ohm Xros pod
- 0.6ohm Xros Pod
- 0.8ohm Xros pod
High-VG e-liquid only works with:

We gave the Xros Pro 2 a thorough testing, trying out different e-liquids with each pod variant to test out their performance - this is what we based the recommended pairings above on.
Honestly, the Pro 2 works brilliantly with every type of e-liquid we sell (when paired with an appropriate pod/coil). With that said, nic salt vape juice really lets the Pro 2's flavour-boosting tech shine - a consistent theme amongst the whole Xros range.
The double-concentrated flavours used in recipes like our Bar Salt range are brought to life by the COREX mesh tech like no other vape pods I've used.
Navigating The Xros Pro 2's Menu
The Xros Pro 2 has a lot of interesting customisable features, but navigation is kept simple with a single-button interface.
By clicking the fire button you can cycle through the Pro 2's menus and settings, allowing you to tailor your vaping experience to your needs.
The device manual will explain everything you need to know, but in simple terms this is how to navigate the device's functions:
- Press the button once to fire the device (it is also inhale-activated).
- Click the button twice to access theme options (6 styles to choose from).
- Click the button three times to adjust the power (in increments of 0.5 watts).
- Click the button four times to bring up the settings menu (screen lock, puff clear, animation on/off etc)
- Click the button five times to turn the device on/off.
Xros Pro 2 Features Explained -
Alongside features you would expect of an advanced vape kit, such as variable wattage and airflow, the Pro 2 has some interesting features that are worth exploring:
Puff Tracking:
The Xros Pro 2 features a 30-day puff tracker within the setting menu. Click the power button four times quickly to open the menu, where you can view detailed daily and weekly puff charts so you can monitor your habits. You can also set limits to help you track/manage your intake.
3 Power Modes:
Click the button 3 times to bring up the power menu. From here you can manually adjust wattage, or choose from the modes below.
Eco mode balances power and battery consumption for a moderated experience that supports longer periods of vaping between charges.
Smart mode makes the Pro 2 accessible for beginners by doing the thinking for you, automatically adjusting and managing wattage output according to your chosen pod.
Super Pulse mode is a real standout feature, that delivers enhanced flavour at the cost of battery life, but also ensures intelligent power management to deliver consistent performance even when at low charge - the only other vape kits on the market that have this great feature are the original Xros Pro, and our own OPEL pod vape kit.
Xros Pro 2 Battery Life & Charging
The Xros Pro 2 is the first modern pod vape kit we have seen with a 2000mAh battery. This impressive capacity comes in a lightweight package thanks to the battery's high-denisty design that maximises power potential without sacrificing portability.
The Pro 2 has 67% more battery capacity than the original Xros Pro, and offers around 33% more charge than most competitors. That's a serious performance edge for vapers who are often on the go, requiring less downtime in between use.
If you are using higher wattage settings or lower ohm pods (0.4/0.6ohm), the battery will, understandably, last for less time. When using Eco mode during our trials, however, I found that the battery would last well over a day on a full charge, and without making a significant impact to flavour delivery.
Even if you are a heavy enough vaper to blast through the Pro 2's huge 2000mAh cell, USB-C 2A fast-charging will get the battery from flat to full in around 30 minutes. This is impressive, considering there are many similar kits with smaller batteries that take longer than this to recharge.
Overall, the Pro 2 is a true powerhouse, supporting all-day vaping with ease even when using higher settings.
Should You Buy The Xros Pro 2 Vape Kit By Vaporesso?
Without doubt, the Xros Pro 2 is a brilliant vape kit that is well worth the relatively modest £24.99 investment. It's versatility, depth of customisation balanced with accessibility, and impressive battery life make it a fantastic vape kit that has the potential to support you at every stage of your vaping journey - no matter your e-liquid preference.
With that said, if you are an absolute beginner when it comes to vaping, the amount of features and settings the Pro 2 offers may be a little overwhelming. If this sounds like you, a more basic kit like the Xros 5 mini or OPEL device might be a better place to start.
It goes without saying that all these same features make the Pro 2 a brilliant choice for intermediate and advanced vapers.
Despite this, it is worth noting that the relatively simple navigation system and features like Smart power mode make the Pro more accessible to beginners than some other advanced kits, and could actually help less experienced vapers learn more, without needing to change devices.
