What Is A Pod Vape?

Just like any other vape kit, pod vape kits are designed to turn e-liquid into vapour which you can inhale and exhale and it will deliver the nicotine (if you use it in your vape juice) to be absorbed and curb the cravings you may be having for nicotine. But the difference with pod vapes compared to other vape kits is that they do not use a vape tank, instead they use vape pods which is what is filled up with vape juice. 

Pod vapes are normally small and discreet in size which makes an ideal stealth vape, and they normally don't have any advanced features like variable wattage making them an ideal choice for beginner vapers who are looking to start out on their vaping journey. 

What Vape Juices Are Best To Use In Pod Vapes?

We would recommend using a vape juice that is 50-50 VG/PG ratio. This is because the coils are normally 1.0ohm or higher to give a Mouth to Lung vape experience, therefore using 50-50 vape juice would be the best to use. You can use either Freebase nicotine vape juice or Nicotine Salt vape juice depending on your preference. 

If you use a pod that has a lower ohm resistance coil in such as 0.6ohm, you can use High VG vape juice. 

Do I Need To Change Coils With Pod Vape Kits? 

Most of the pod kits we sell here at LiQuid use pods which already have coils pre-installed inside the pods, meaning you don't have to change coils around and you just exchange the used pod for a new pod once the coil has burnt out.

Some pod vape kits do use replacement coils which just push fit into the pods. 

How Long Do Vape Pods Last?

The average lifespan of a coil within a vape pod is around 7-10 days. This may be longer but also may be shorter depending on several different factors. The flavour and sweetness of your vape juice may result in your coil not lasting as long, as well as how frequently you use your vape as well. If you use it often throughout the day, the coil may only last on the lower end of the scale before it burns out.

Are Pods Vape Kits A Good Alternative To Disposable Vapes?

Disposable vapes offer a great entry into vaping by being a simple and easy to use device that's ready to go straight out of the packet. However, there's an impending disposable vape ban coming to the UK, potentially by next year so you may be considering your options for how you will continue to vape once this disposable ban comes into effect. 

Pod vapes are a great alternative for disposables as they offer a similar vaping experience, but also have a lot more advantages which disposables do not. For example, you can not only recharge your pod vape but also refill it with vape juice, both things are not available to do with a disposable vape.
